The Community Family Support Programme (CFSP) is responsible for supporting individuals address health, social and economic concerns with the aim of gaining employment. As part of this team you will provide administrative and project assistance to the team in our Omagh office.  You will be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly word and excel; have good organisational skills and have excellent attention to detail.

Customized Training Services

Customized Training Services (CTS) was incorporated in 1990 as a Company Limited by guarantee; committed to providing quality training and employability skills, enabling young people and the unemployed to meet the employment needs of the local and regional economy.

Due to continued funding through the European Social Fund and Department for Economy, CTS wish to employ a Project Assistant for the ‘Community Family Support Programme’ (CFSP).

Job purpose

The CFSP Project Assistant is responsible for working alongside other members of the CFSP team to:

  • Support 16+ year olds, not in education or training, unemployed or working under 48 hours / week, to address health, social and economic concerns, enabling them to avail of opportunities to re-skill, find a new job or increase hours
  • Assist Family Mentor, with Health, Social & Employability needs of participants that have engaged with CFSP
  • Assist Career Mentor and Facilitators with activities in job search, CV, applying for jobs, and engaging in training demonstrating positive outcomes
  • Assist Area Coordinator and Strategic Manager with Administrative Project Management Support

You must possess a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Office Administration (or equivalent) and have 6 months prior office experience with the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. You will be required to engage with participants, organise appointments/ meetings, send SMS reminders, collect data and information required for enrolments and outcome based evidence.  You will input and interrogate management information systems to produce reports and statistics on the progress of the programme.  Awareness and an understanding of data protection practices and procedures and the need for confidentiality is essential.  Possession of a current driving licence is essential.

ICT Tutor/Assessor

Do you have patience, approach new challenges with enthusiasm, enjoy working and inspiring others and encourage personal development? If yes, we may just have the ideal job opportunity for you.

As ICT tutor, you will be required to motivate and support learners; trainees and apprentices achieve relevant ICT qualifications to enhance knowledge in this field.  Your role will be to design NVQ training programmes/resources and deliver high quality teaching to a diverse range of learners.

You will carry out assessments of learner individual needs and provide teaching accordingly.  You will also source and implement appropriate industry work placements for learners.

We would welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate drive, determination and a commitment to continuous professional development.  Possession of the following qualifications is essential, a minimum of a Level 3 Award in IT User Skills (or equivalent) and 5 GCSE’s including maths, English and ICT.  Previous experience in the design and delivery of training programmes and the evaluation of such learning is also essential.  Possession of a Certificate in Teaching would be a distinct advantage and a recognised assessor qualification (or be willing to work towards gaining).

You will have 2 years’ experience (occupational competency), in delivering and assessing ICT skills/ qualifications, following training and assessment plans, building portfolios of evidence and preferably experience of working with young people who exhibit challenging behaviours.

 You must possess a current driving licence.

      Hello Linda,

      Currently our tutors are working alongside government guidelines. Learning is both classroom based and in the form of remote learning.
